Manchester United Season 10/11 Review

This season for Manchester United has been one of the most unpredictable season. They started off quite averagely especially on away matches. They threw away too many points at the beginning whereas Chelsea started off their season which is one of their best over the years by thrashing opponents in the opening matches. At that moment i was wondering where will Man Utd be at the end of the season.

However there were also few good results that Man Utd delivered like the thrashing of Blackburn and Berbatov's hatrick which earned Man Utd 3-2 win. Then the issue of Wayne Rooney wanting to leave hurt all of us as he was always the starting 11 no matter how bad he played at the beginning of the season.  Fortunately he realised he made a really big mistake and since then, his form has been really good even though he didnt score much. His work rate and passing improved which helped the team to climb above Chelsea.

The vital match that won Man Utd was the match against Chelsea recently when they won 2-1 thanks to the 40 seconds goal from United new superstar/supersub Chicharito. Seriously he is much a better striker compare to Fernando Torres who has cost Chelsea 50m (he only cost 7m). Even with his limited height, he is able to score with his head few occasions this season. He might be lacked of skills in bringing balls skipping past opponents but his pace and determination to run pass opponent defender has always been a real threat to them. He keeps them busy while freeing up Rooney to show his skills playing as a support striker. This was the problem with having Berbatov in the team when he doesnt really cause much problem except his goal scoring form. It is really ridiculous to know that Chicharito has overtook Berbatov in the starting line up when the Bulgarian is the league top scorer. But i wont blame SAF as i think he did the right thing. No one is bigger than the club.

Last week game at Blackburn was vital as well as United needing only 1 point to be the champion for this season and thanks to Chicharito again whom won a penalty for them with Rooney converting with ease to win them yet one of the most meaningful trophy.

Next task for the teams will be fighting for the starting line up against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League Final which is the biggest match of the season. It is gonna be England Champion against Spain Champion. My prediction will be Barcelona dominating throughout the match but Ferdinand and Vidic holding up the game at 0-0 and Man Utd. to win through penalties.

MANCHESTER UNITED FOREVER!
